Cockpit Arts Open Studios takes place on Friday 12th June 2009 until Sunday 14th June.

Yoyo has also been working with the fabulous textile/wallpaper designer Claire Coles

We’ve been making textures and ceramics into beautiful light and wall pieces. They’re so fresh that we don’t even have a sneak preview image to show you, so you’ll just have to put the date in your diary and come along to see what we’ve been up to…

Friday Late at the V&A - 27th February 2009

Make the V&A a home away from home for an evening celebrating all things homely. Take part in unique workshops revealing the craft behind everyday household objects.

Yoyo Ceramics joins the Mo Billy team in the Raphael Galleries. We exhibited in Milan with them back in 2004, this is bringing many involved back together to be quizzed and questioned on design. 27th February 6.30 -10pm

Over a hundred of designer makers (including Yoyo of course) showing and selling beautiful gifts. There is also the chance to win a spectacular prize of a Christmas tree decorated with unique hand-crafted ornaments by Cockpit artists.

We will be selling the new best selling gift Ceramics Notepad and the classic Is that Plastic? in their fab new colours. There may also be a few new treats in store…!

I love Magma

If you haven’t already been to Magma, you must – NOW! Set up in 2000, they already have 4 shops; in London and Manchester, mainly selling books and now branching out into products.

The books are heaven, you will want them all – stylish art, graphic, design and all round creative works. The selection of design products are expanding, so much so, they now have one shop dedicated to selling just that, and this is where Yoyo’s New Ceramic Notepads already sit happily in their designer collections.

Other great creatives work they sell are Mixko whom have worked with Yoyo along the way. They are always coming up with new work; stuff that sometimes seems so obvious (sign of good design i think)

Curated by Henrietta Thompson – 100% Norway is back and celebrating its 5th anniversary in 2008 with a double exhibition during the London Design Festival. The latest furniture and home accessories to emerge from the cool north will be on display at a monumental stand at 100% Design, Earls Court, as well as at a little sister exhibition staged as part of Designers Block in Covent Garden.

Yoyo Ceramics designer Helen Johannessen has been selected to showcase the NEW! product from Yoyo this year… The exhibition will run from 18th-21st September 2008.

Exhibition in the South of France Jun - Oct 08

Yoyo Ceramics was approached earlier this year by Frederic Bodet, curator assistant at the Decorative Arts Museum in Paris, to include ‘Is that Plastic?’ as part of a group exhibition in the Limoges Porcelain factory grounds. The theme of the show is to represent what’s new in ceramics and design in this century, amongst the traditional and renowned ceramics of this town. The exhibition entitled ‘Le petits bouleversements au centre de la table’ is at the Bernardaud Foundation from 24th June – 15th October 2008.

Summer Open Studios - behind the scenes

This ‘different to usual’ weekend visitors to Cockpit Studios can see all makers work for sale and get to see how things are made – from ceramics (don’t forget to come and visit Yoyo! Studio E16) jewellery, textiles, print, to name but a few disciplines that happen at this central London Studio location.

Entrance is free and there is activities to amuse your little people whilst you browse and shop.
